Lee Charnley

This is a particular photograph I like because of the vivid colour and depth of the shadow and yet it looks unnatural like the shadow has been painted there.

The reason why I enjoy this photo is that it hasn’t had any Photoshop or editing just manipulated by the camera with shutter speeds, and is a reminder that we don’t need to always use Photoshop.

Laura Hodgson

This image was taken in the first year of my course. I took it when we were collecting images to do our still documentry, i did mine in middlesbrough.
I really like this picture just because of the composition and how the bottle really catches your eye.

This image was for part of my 1st brief for 2 year photography.
The ubit was about personal space, so i took some photographs of my brothers possesions to show how personal space is invaded. I really like the depth of field in this image, and the shadow across the skulls face.

Charlotte Mitchell

I choose these four images because I think they have all turned out really well and I think they all show my artistic side.

Alice Moore

I took this photo for my rural project in photography. I then manipulated the saturation on Photoshop to make it stand out more and make it a bit different. I thought it had a pleasant contrast with the purple sky and bright green grass

This was taken on a country road. There was a mirror at the side of the road so I took a photo of it, changed the photo to black and white in Photoshop and then deleted part of the saturation layer to make the mirror colourful

Photography.

I have decided to show you some of my First Year AS Photography work. There is so much that I could show you I have chosen my six favourites from different Briefs across the course.

The Different Methods.

I have used many different methods in these images. I used photograms, Photoshop, chemical mark making, digital slr cameras, and scanning and manipulation.
*The devil and the hands images were made through chemical mark making and then scanned into Photoshop and manipulated to change the colours.
*The teddy bear and the baby’s bottle were photogram’s that I did, and which I then scanned onto Photoshop and manipulated to change the colours and textures of the images.
*The keyboard and the buttons were both images I took using the digital slr camera and then I uploaded the image of the keyboard into Photoshop and then manipulated it to change the colour. I also uploaded the image of the buttons on the second page so that I could add a more intense black to the background in Photoshop to make the image of the buttons more prominent.
